Planting for a greener future with Treeapp
At Chase & Holland, we’re proud to plant a tree for every permanent placement we make as a way of saying thank you to both our candidates and clients.
Through our partnership with Treeapp, we’re delighted to share the latest update from one of the tree-planting projects we’ve sponsored in 2026, in the high-altitude landscapes of Tumling village, Nepal.
As the monsoon season begins to come to an end, this year’s planting season is drawing to a close. Local teams have been working across the site, planting native trees and shrubs and making the most of the increased moisture from the rains to give young seedlings the best possible start.
Planting has included native species such as Himalayan whitebeam, Himalayan cherry and Himalayan rhododendrons, carefully selected to thrive in the cool, exposed conditions while complementing the surrounding forest.
The site is also part of an important red panda habitat. By helping to restore fragmented forest, these trees can provide valuable shelter and food for wildlife, while also helping to protect the steep landscape from soil erosion.
The newly planted areas have been protected with locally sourced bamboo fencing to help reduce pressure from free-ranging livestock. As the planting season comes to an end, local teams will now focus on monitoring and maintaining the young trees, managing competing vegetation and ensuring the protective fencing remains effective.
