Chase & Holland are recruiting exclusively for a successful, growing group of companies based in Scunthorpe who are looking for a Finance Business Partner for this newly created role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically competent, commercially minded, driven Finance Business Partner to be the financial point of contact for the business functions within a group of companies.

Finance Business Partner responsibilities:

·         Accruals, prepayments, identifying any adjustments and processing journals

·         Preparation of monthly management accounts and MI pack for multiple sites and consolidated accounts

·         Detailed variance analysis and commentaries

·         Managing WIP, monthly valuations and retentions

·         Business Partnering - developing strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders

·         Supporting the team in educating and helping Operational Managers & Directors to understand the numbers, financial processes, budgets, and deliverables

·         Balance sheet reconciliations

·         Assisting with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and reporting

·         Cashflow management and projections

·         Budgets and Forecasting – leading the production of annual budgets and forecasting

·         Developing processes, controls and reporting 

Required skills & experiences:

·         Technically competent qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with a strong knowledge of all accounting principles

·         Experience within a similar Finance Business Partner role with hands on, project accounting skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills to be able to develop relationships quickly with senior stakeholders

·         Ability to use your own initiative and proactively seek better ways of capturing and presenting the numbers

·         A self-starter, someone who can hit the ground running quickly in a large, complex unique group of companies

·         Experience within construction would be advantageous – including WIP, retention and CIS knowledge
